Vroooooommmmm!

After waiting patiently, I finally got to go see race cars today. Daddy and I got prepped for the action. Then we waited, and waited, until finally....

....I got to see my first REAL race car (Mom says that Lightning McQueen does not count). If you look closely you can see it. Yep, it's that blurry blob in the middle of the pic (this is the best Mom could get with the point and shoot).

After an hour or so, I was ready to head back home (a boy my age can only take so much 90+ degree weather), but not before collecting some loot.
Mommy said that I might even get to see more cars this summer when the Brickyard 400 comes to town. However, she is not quite sure she's ready for the cultural experience that is NASCAR.

Evening at the Zoo

Mommy's company had a special night at the zoo today, where we were allowed "after hours" access. As usual, we started with the fish. For the first time, I was actually able to reach in and touch a shark (with Daddy's help, of course).

I waited for the polar bears, but they never showed up. I think it may have been dinner time.

I think it may have been dinner time for a lot of the animals. The tiger must have had a full belly.

The monkeys and the peacocks were wide awake though.

This guy kept hanging out right by the fence. I think he liked me.

I heard the sound of the choo-choo train while I was in the Forest area, so I told Daddy it was time to go.

However, I got sidetracked on the way there by the carousel.

I had such a good time, I had to ride it twice.

We did finally make it to the choo-choo train.

We wrapped the night up with my first dolphin show.

These guys were pretty impressive! See you soon!

Lazy Saturday

Daddy's out of town this weekend, so Mommy and I decided to take the opportunity to get in some quality time doing a whole lot of nothing. First we went to Starbucks, where she got her coffee and I got my chocolate milk (organic, of course, given Mommy's paranoia of hormones and antibiotics in regular milk). Then we went to the state park for a run (Mommy ran, I rolled) and a trip to the playground.

I spent a good 45 minutes running up and down the ramps, yelling "up ramp, down ramp, wheeeee!"

After some lunch we stopped by to see Aunt Lindsay, who's in town for the weekend. She hadn't seen me in a while, so she ate me up (who wouldn't though, since I'm sooo awesomely cute - Mom made me write that)! She also threatened Mommy if she put this picture on the blog, given her make-up-less, unshowered state, but Mom thinks it's too cute not to post. Sorry Aunt Linds!!

Ready for the track

In case you weren't aware, I love cars. And I don't just love them, I LOOOOOOOOVE them. Actually, I love anything with wheels, but cars are my favorite. I also happen to live in the racing capital of the world, and May is the best month of the racing season around here. So Mom and Dad thought that we should take advantage of this convenient coincidence and go to the track during Indy 500 practice. However, Mommy informed me that we can't go until my special headphones come in the mail. They finally got here on Friday. Okay guys, so why haven't we left yet?!

Happy 2nd Birthday Max!

I wanted to send a special happy birthday wish to my cousin Max today. Unfortunately, I need to work on my announciation a bit. If you can't understand, I'm saying "Happy Birthday Max!"

Since you couldn't quite see the lovely piece of work that is your birthday sign in the video, here you go. I used a gaggle of my best stickers just for you! Happy Birthday bud, and welcome to the twos!

Art Work

While I'm all boy and am pretty much into playing with cars and running around most of the time, every once in a while I like to take some time out for a little art work (or "aut wurk" as my cousin KiKi calls it).

Architectural Genius

So, a few weeks ago, Mommy walked downstairs on a Saturday morning to find this stunning architectural masterpiece....
While most kids my age are busy building forts out of couch cushions and old sheets, I am crafting works of art from exquisite cardboard bricks.

I am a genius, I tell you. A genius!!

(Okay, just kidding. I made it all up. Mom helped me build my fort. And by help, I mean she placed all but two bricks. I, however, am a genius at knocking down cardboard brick forts.)

Bath Time!

Bath time is always one of my favorites. I love to practice my swimming (i.e. laying on my tummy and kicking) and making as much of a mess as possible by splashing water all over the floor. Mom can't get mad though because I'm too darn cute while doing it.
