Disney World - Day Three

By our third full day in Disney World, I had started to get sick, so we decided to keep it kind of low key. I the morning we headed to Downtown Disney. I spotted the choo-choo right away and insisted that we ride. My face doesn't quite show it, but I was pretty psyched.

There's my smile.

After a little while, we decided to head back to the hotel for a nap. I insisted that I wasn't tired, but my actions said otherwise.

After waking up, we headed to Hollywood Studios, so I could see Playhouse Disney Live. While we were waiting for the next show, we walked around some of the exhibits, and I discovered what Disney character I'm most like. Since I couldn't read the questions, Mom's not quite sure it was too accurate.

Finally, we got to see Playhouse Disney. I may have been sick, but I sure didn't act it once the show started. I was soooo excited!

When Little Einsteins came on, you would have thought I was at a rock concert inctead of a puppet show. I started screaming "Leooooo!"

And these guys were awesome too, of course.

Disney Day Two: Epcot

After my nap, we headed back out to Epcot to go on the Finding Nemo ride.

Come on Dad, we've got a fish to find.

(Note: Between the time this picture and the next were taken, I managed to have a major terrible-two style meltdown. It was shortly after this that I also started to get sick. Coincidence? I think not.)

I loved the finding Nemo ride. The funny thing is, I had never seen or heard of Nemo until this point, but I somehow picked up on who he is during the 4 1/2 minute ride and pointed him out in the fish tank afterwards. Mom has since found the movie for me.

Disney Day Two: Animal Kingdom

After breakfast at Chef Mickey's, the whole family headed over to Animal Kingdom.
There was a lot of cool stuff to look at there. I was fascinated by the fish.
I was not so fascinated by the gorillas, however.
I was more concerned that there was only about an inch of plexiglass separating us.

After the gorillas, we went on the Kilimanjaro Safari ride, where we got to ride in a "big truck" and look at animals.

The tour guide told us that we would see all sorts of exotic animals. However, he must not have known that I am from Indiana, where these guys are everywhere.

Much better.

After the safari, we headed back to the hotel for some R&R. Mom and I were both pooped!

Disney Day Two: Character Breakfast

On Saturday morning, we went to a character breakfast at the Contemporary Resort. To get there, we had to ride on the monorail, which I loved, of course, given my love of anything that resembles a train.

Pluto was the first to come to visit me. Out of all of the characters, I can easily say that he's my least favorite, since I just refer to him as "puppy" and not even by his given name.

Next, Donald Duck, or "Quack Quack" as I like to call him, came by.

Then it was Goofy's turn. I got to show him my car with his picture on it.

Then it was the big cheese himself. He even took the time to sign my autograph book.

Apparently I didn't get the memo that you're supposed to smile in pictures.

Last but not least was my new favorite, Minnie. I couldn't take my eyes off of her long enough to look at the camera because I was so smitten.

Disney World: Day One

On our first full day at Disney World (aka, Mickey's house), we decided to go to the place where it all began: The Magic Kingdom.

I was already sold when I saw there was a choo choo. However, I couldn't ride it right away. I was on a mission to find a mouse.

But, there were a few things we had to tend to first, like renting a stroller and getting the obligatory picture on Main Street.

Ahhh, there it is! While you may have heard that this is Cinderella's Castle, this is actually Mickey's house (according to your's truly).
Before we could go see Mickey, we stopped and watched a parade. Ironically, every time I went to a park there happened to be a parade going on. They must have known when I was coming.

It was pretty crazy, with lots of colors, loud music, and these weird guys with really long legs.
Our first stop was Mickey's house in Toon Town. This must be his vacation home.
(Sidebar: Pictures of the mouse sighting are coming soon. Mommy and Daddy were too busy watching me meet Mickey and Minnie to take pictures. However, the kind folks at Disney are happy to provide those pictures for a small fee.)

After the most important stop was out of the way, it was play time. If you look really closely, you can see me on the small horse in the middle of the picture.

The fam in Fantasyland.

After a (necessary) nap, we got on Nolan's bus to head back to the park. (Every bus in Disney World became my bus by the end of the trip).

Our first stop was the Winnie the Pooh ride, but we couldn't take pics inside. It was, however, a good time. Next, I got to ride on Dumbo the Flying Elephant. Mom said that this is a classic, which has been here forever.

Then we headed to It's a Small World. I was too busy checking out the pint sized dancing dolls to smile for the camera.

Of course we couldn't leave without hitting up Pirates of the Caribbean.

We even got a boat all to ourselves. I loved it, and Daddy even tried to get me a pirate toy after the ride. However, I'm only about cars and trucks these days.

While we were on our way out of the park, the fireworks show began.

What a great way to end a great day.

First Airplane Ride

On February 18, I got to take my very first plane ride. This was an exciting event for two reasons: first, (the obvious) because it was my first time on an airplane, and second because I was taking the plane to Disney World!

I was a wonderfully behaved passenger the entire time. Here I am giving Mom my best fake smile, while I waited patiently to get to "Mickey's house."

Monkey Joe's

Mommy and Daddy took me to Monkey Joe's on Sunday after church in the hope that I'd wear myself out and go down for a nap before the big game. It worked, and we had a lot of fun.

Mommy and I braved the toddler slide several times. After a few times I decided to go it alone. (Sorry, there's no video of my solo rides since it was a two parent process.)

After a while, I decided that I was ready for the big leagues. Daddy and I had to go through a crazy obstacle course to get here, so we only went once. (Mom apologizes for any neck injuries that occur as a result of watching this video.)

My First Library Card

Mommy took me to get my first library card a few weeks ago. (Daddy tried to take me a few days before, but discovered that the public library now requires more forms of identification than most major airlines.) I really like the library because I can take home as many books as I want (well, 21 actually, but since I can't count that high it seems like infinity). Mommy and Daddy like it because it supports my habit (e.g., books) without breaking the bank like Barnes and Noble.
