Weekend in the Haute

My cousin, Caroline, came to Terre Haute this weekend from Tennessee, so Mommy, Daddy and I went to see her. Her YaYa and Bob invited all of us over on Saturday night for a cookout.

They had fun yard games for us to play, like hillbilly golf. However, I was more interested in using the balls to decorate my wheels.

Good choice, right?!

I had to work hard to keep up with Caroline on her big girl bike.

Eventually she wore me out, so I moved on to playing some cornhole.

At the end of the night we all went outside for the spectacular Diet Coke and Mentos display. Caroline's Uncle Robbie has us all convinced that the combination of a liter of Diet Coke and a roll of Mentos would create a marvelous explosion. We all waited anxiously for the big moment only to be disappointed by the outcome. Explosion is was, but marvelous it was not.

On another note, this picture made Mommy realize how little I really am. Believe it or not, Caroline is only a year and four months older that me. However, thanks to her genetic propensity towards giantess status, courtesy of the Hunt side of the family, she's got a good 14 inches on me. My Mommy, on the other hand, has done nothing to help me out in the height department. Let's just hope I'm a late bloomer!

Hod Rod Show

Daddy and I decided to have a guys day yesterday and do a bunch of man stuff. And what says man stuff better than cars? We started off the day with a trip to the mechanic to get Mommy's car keys fixed. Then we went to the hot rod show.

This one was my favorite. Why? Only because it's red.

Mommy couldn't quite figure out why Daddy was so excited about going to see the hot rods, but then she saw the camera....

....and she figured it out. These ladies loved me, but who doesn't. And I got to go home sporting and "I Heart Hooters" sticker. Mom couldn't be prouder.

Monster Jam

Last night was a defining moment in my young life. It was one of those events that has a lasting impact for the rest of your life. That's right folks...I attended my very first Monster Truck Jam.
I was a little unsure at first because it was NOISY!!! However, I warmed up after a bit and really enjoyed it (as long as I had my headphones on).

My favorite part was the jumps. We tried to stay at the show until Gravedigger came out, but I couldn't last that long. Maybe next year!

Downtown Disney

We ended our last day with a trip to Downtown Disney. I had to ride the choo choo again this year, of course.

Then we headed back to the hotel for a little R&R before we headed out in the morning. We had a great trip, but this pretty much sums up how all of us felt by the end! I hope to see you again soon Mickey!

Lunch with Playhouse Disney

While we were at Hollywood Studios, we ate lunch with the Playhouse Disney characters, where I ran into this guy again.

The Little Einsteins were there too. I wasn't too impressed to see June. I asked her where Leo was.

Everybody got up and danced, but I decided to stand by and watch instead.

I finally got to see Leo!

And enjoyed seeing Oso, even though I'm not too impressed with his show.

Hollywood Studios

On Saturday morning, I stayed with Grandma and Grandpa while Mommy and Daddy ran the Disney half marathon. As soon as they got back, we headed over to Hollywood Studios. I ran into Handy Manny as soon as I got there.

Then I saw two of my very favorites - Lightning and Mater!

We had to check out Playhouse Disney Live! too. We tried to ride the new Toy Story ride, but I decided I'd rather not wait in line for two hours. Maybe next time!
