Happy (Belated) Third Brithday Cousin KiKi!

I want to wish a happy belated third birthday to my Cousin Caroline (aka, Kiki). Sorry I'm late on the birthday wishes. Just think of it as an excuse to keep celebrating for another day!

Christmas at Nana and Poppy's

On Christmas Eve, Caroline (Ki Ki) and I were super excited for Santa to come to Nana and Poppy's house on Christmas Eve. Do we look it?

But first we had to open our Christmas socks (aka, stockings to normal folks).

Caroline got some cool stuff.

Then we were all business. We had to get ready for the arrival of Santa and his reindeers.

"Why don't you let me taste one of those, just to make sure they're up to Santa's standards."

Santa visited while Caroline and I were in the bath tub. Don't we look cute in our matching PJ's?

Santa brought me a bright red fire engine and a brand new trike. That man may be a bit creepy, but he's got good taste.

How do I look?

He also brought me my own tool bench. Mom's keeping her fingers crossed that my handyman skills develop a little more than my Daddy's did.

Then we opened gifts from Nana and Poppy and Mimi. Mimi got me Chuck the Talking Truck. She must run in the same circles as Santa because she's got good taste too.

Santa brought Caroline her very own kitchen. I helped her make stuff. Mom is also hoping that I hone my culinary skills, for her own selfish reasons.

Three hours (and many toys) later, we were pooped.

Christmas at Home

Mommy, Daddy, and I drove home from Terre Haute on Christmas morning. Santa had come to visit the night before and left me all sorts of fun toys! However, he left the biggest surprise in the basement...a new train table!! (Sorry, Mom didn't get pictures, only video).

I also opened lots of fun gifts from Mommy and Daddy.

And decorated myself.

Daddy got me my very own Thomas tent to play inside.

Later, Grandma and Grandpa came over, and we opened more gifts.

I got more books. My favorite (and, no, that's not sarcasm).

Grandpa had fun too. All in all, we had a great Christmas. Can't wait till next year!

Christmas at the Griswold's

Nana and Poppy always joke about being like the Griswolds. While we've always acknowledged that there are some striking similarities, this year really sealed the deal, when this beaut pulled into the driveway on December 23:

Yep, that's right, Cousin Eddie (I mean, Uncle Chip) drove up from TN in this lovely recreational vehicle, with Aunt Katie, Cousin Caroline, and their two dogs in tow. We all thought this was very funny; however, if they start emptying their tank in the front yard then we may change our opinions.

Keeping in line with the theme of the evening, Caroline insisted that we take a bath "Griswold style." Bath tubs are for suckers.

Happy Birthday Cousin Katie!

I want to wish a very happy birthday to my cousin, Katie, who is 4 years old today! I'm home sick, but felt well enough to make you a sign (the Spider Man stickers and stamps are my personal touch). Unfortunately, I kept interpreting Mom's instructions to "show Mommy the sign" as "look at the sign," so we don't have any pictures where you can see it and my face at the same time. Jolly Days

Mommy's company had a special night at the Children's Museum tonight for Jolly Days, where the museum was open to only employees and their families. We stopped and saw Santa first, which was not pleasant (the guy creeps me out, okay), but once that was over I was ready to go.
