Road Trip!

Mom and Dad had a wedding in Cincinnati this weekend, so I got to go on my first road trip. After 8 hours of packing (7 hours 45 minutes of baby stuff, 15 minutes of mommy/daddy stuff) we were finally ready to go. We got in late Friday night and hung out at the hotel. Dad said he had to take some pictures of me, so he could be reminded of how cute I am when he was away from me the next day.

I didn't let mom and dad sleep much because I decided that I hate sleeping in my Pack N Play.

I did, however, love napping in the bed. Too bad they don't make baby beds this comfy.

Mom and dad went to the ceremony on Saturday morning while I hung out with Grandma.

Then mom and dad went to the reception that night. I would have gone, but I left my tux at home.

Happy Birthday Max!

I'm wishing a belated happy birthday to my new cousin Max (officially it's Maxwell Jacob Bryan, but I just call him Max). He was born on Monday night, exactly 5 weeks after me. I can't wait to share all of my baby wisdom with him.

Apparently they hang out in plastic sleds in Oregon too. Weird, since they really don't get snow.

It's party time!

Mom took me to my first party today. Her co-worker Linda graduated from college this morning, so everyone had a party for her to celebrate. Here I am getting ready to go. Do I look ready to party?

By the time we got there I was already pooped. I'm the one sleeping in the carseat.

I finally decided to wake up to watch Linda open her gifts.

Ohhh, a briefcase. Interesting. (Wow, I woke up for this?)

All of the gift watching made me tired, so I decided to go back to sleep. Congratulations Linda!

Happy 1-month birthday to me!

I actually turned one month old yesterday, but I kept Mom too busy to find time to post the blog. To celebrate the occasion Mom and I hung out all day and did all sorts of fun stuff. But first we had to change my clothes because I yacked all over myself about 30 seconds after this picture was taken.

Ahhh, much better.

We had tummy time, where I gladly showed off my advanced rolling over skills.

Then I spent some serious time with my Baby Einstein gym. That crazy star gets me every time.

When Daddy got home I wanted to tell him all about my big day, but I was too pooped. (Notice the second outfit change due to yet another yacking episode.)

Littlest Cubs Fan

Daddy has decided that if I'm going to cheer on the Cubbies with him I need to display my team spirit, so he picked up a hat for me when he was in Chicago last weekend. I decided to wear it while we were cheering them on last night. Clearly I was really into the game.

I'm a big boy now!

After weeks of worry for my parents over my troubles gaining weight, Mom and I went to the doctor this morning and found out that I've gained 11 ounces in 6 days! Mom says that since I'm now a big boy, I need to start playing with my big boy toys (no, no cars yet...we're sticking to the Fisher Price variety for a while).

I loved my Baby Einstein gym that the Loweys and Fords got for me, especially this light up singing star thing. Mom and Dad had to take it away to avoid overstimulation, since I stared at it for 20 minutes.

Man, I am handsome.

Nana's Here!

Dad has to go to Chicago this weekend, and Grandma is spending a well-deserved long weekend in DC, so Nana has come to help Mom out. I'm not sure why Mom needs help with me...how much work can a little thing like me be? Any way, I'm glad to see Nana because it's been a few weeks since we hung out.

Poppy came with Nana to drop her off, so we hung out for a bit.

Dad tried to show Nana and Poppy how I could roll over. I was not willing to comply, and decided to just get angry instead.
